Onze zeefdrukken op papier maar eens ingelijst en aan de muur gehangen voor een foto..
Vraag me af of het beter is foto's maken op deze manier..?

Plactic tasjes...

Via Nicole van de groene lifestyle webshop Babongo hoorde ik van het Nederlandse plastic verbruik...

Pittige cijfers! Volgens Universiteit Wageningen gooiden we hier 2011 in Nederland tussen de 26 en 32 miljoen kilo draagtassen weg! Dus...tussen de 71.000 en 87.000 kilo per dag. Bizar toch?

In NRC Next las ik dat de Appie per 1 januari 2012 stopt met het aktief aanbieden van hemdtasjes 

(de gratis doorzichtige tasjes:) 

De Appie bespaart samen met klanten naar schatting 600 kilo plastic per dag. Vraag is alleen of mensen dan geen tas kopen.. 

Max & Penny tas

Maar nu iets leuks! De katoenen tasjes die iedereen nog wel kent van zijn Aardrijkskunde leraar zijn weer helemaal terug;-) In alle kleuren en het katoen is ook nog eens organic & fairly traded! Je kunt ze heel klein opvouwen en altijd bij je dragen voor al je boodschapjes. En je kunt er eentje winnen! Babongo geeft twee katoenen tassen weg. Wat moet je daarvoor doen?

Like Babongo op facebook, zet een leuke reactie onder de post van de tasjes aktie en post de link op je eigen facebook wall. Misschien win je zelfs wel een Pini Piru tas! Die verkoopt Babongo nu ook;-)

Kapok als vulling...

Op zoek naar vulling voor onze kussentjes. Er is zoveel, maar het gros is toch polyester en dat is ook verreweg het goedkoopst, maar het is polyester..  Kapok is een van de betere opties denken we.. Wat een groot pluspunt is van Kapok, er komt schijnbaar geen enkele pesticide of herbicide aan te pas. De kapokboom groeit makkelijk op arme grond.

Kapok: Komt van de rijpe vruchten van de randoe- of kapokboom. Het pluis, de kapokvezel, wordt gebruikt als vulmiddel voor matrassen en kussens vanwege isolerende en geluiddempende eigenschappen. Vroeger werd het ook voor zwemvesten e.d. gebruikt omdat de vezel licht en veerkrachtig is, en door een wasachtige substantie niet doordringbaar voor water. Met andere woorden, het drijft!

Amazing wallpaper!

Normaly I'm not a big fan of wallpaper, mostly because I found it horrible to put it on the wall:-)
Especialy when it has a pattern... But this wallpaper is just amazing! It must be terrible to work with, but I would love to do it anyways! It's designed by Catalina Estrada.

Ice, ice, ice!

The Dutch are getting mental! (us included:) It has been freezing overhere and there is ice everywhere ;-)
Lots of iceskating going on and maybe, just maybe there will even be an elfstedentocht! (eleven cities tour)
It is so cold that the waterpipes are frozen in our studio, so no screenprinting for at least a week....!
What can you do? Gonne enjoy that ice!

Custom Made

That's one of the good things about screenprinting yourself, you can do custom made fairly easy!
Some people like a different colour T-shirt, or a different colour ink or whatever....:-)

Selling original artwork yes or no...

Some people asked us if we sell original drawings? We never realy thought about that...
Maybe we could..! This is a try-out of a tiny drawing with a making of.
Would that work?
